Early morning rays of sun warm the damp
earth,
Shedding the last of winter’s white
labour.
Thin wisps of vapour lie in the valley
and linger
between the budding trees.
Purple crocuses and bright yellow tulips
appear first.
Then along come the red-breasted robins.
Decay is replaced by new growth.
The days grow longer and the air warmer.
Spring is here, life is waiting to
begin…
